Yavne Diary 2008
It’s been an exciting year at Foundation Stone and it goes without saying that the Tel Yavne Prototype Excavation is getting back on track. After last winter’s surprise finds (excavated by the IAA), we have now mounted an excavation in the area of Tel Yavne that will for the first time “ground-truth” our geophysical results. Paul Burmann (Komex International) had found an interesting underground feature - The Tooth - using ERT (electrical resistivity tomography). Much like an ultrasound looks into the womb and can “see” various features of an unborn child, this data, combined with GPS positioning is guiding us as we excavate this ground-breaking feature (pun intended).
We cannot yet foresee what the new year will bring, but if it’s anything like this past year, we hope to be able to share with you many exciting new developments as we uncover them - bringing to the surface, and into the light the exciting and deep roots of the Children of Israel, in the Land of Israel.
Shana Tova and best wishes,
